Congratulations Abilitybots!

I will be uploading pictures soon, but I wanted to make sure I congratulated the two FIRST Lego League teams from the Courage Center that I have been mentoring heavily this past year for a doing a great job at their competition.

The team that I focused on, “CyberForce: Human NXT Relations” was awarded the Innovation Award for their amazing design of their autonomous lego robot. They also had a great presentation and question & answer time with the presentation judges abou their project about Smart Homes for the Disabled. The other Abilitybots team, “NXT Technobots,” also had a great project about a biomedical solution for Depression. The whole challenge (research and lego robot building) this year revolved around Biomedical Engineering and was called “Body Forward.” I had a lot of fun working with the kids at the Courage Center Rehabilitation Center who were all very interested and excited about the topic we researched. Here is a picture of the robot board that their lego bots competed in this year:
