I <3 DC

I have just returned from an amazing week in Washington DC and I can’t believe how much we did! The main attraction was the reception for my Davidson Fellowship at the Museum of the American Indian on Wednesday (9/29) at night, but we got to DC the previous Saturday to make sure we got to see the sights!

Here’s a quick run down on everything we did:

  • Toured the International Spy museum.
  • Toured the National Air and Space Museum.
  • Toured the Museum of Natural History.
  • Toured the US Capitol.
  • Toured the Pentagon.
  • Saw a lot of memorials.
  • Went up the Washington Monument.
  • Toured Johns Hopkins.
  • Had breakfast with Senator Al Franken.
  • Met with Senator Amy Klobuchar.
  • Met Congressman Eric Paulson.
  • Met with Jan and Bob Davidson of the Davidson Institute.
  • Went on an exclusive “Dome Tour” of the Capitol (behind the scenes and on the roof!).
  • Gave a speech, had dinner, and received an award at the Museum of the American Indian.
